What We Offer

iPhone 6s Repairs We Offer

Screen replacement

Full display assembly replacement including the LCD, digitiser, front glass, and the 3D Touch pressure sensor layer. Your Touch ID home button is transferred from the original screen. We calibrate 3D Touch sensitivity after fitting to make sure peek and pop gestures respond correctly.

Battery replacement

The iPhone 6s shipped with a 1715 mAh battery, which was smaller than the iPhone 6 to make room for the Taptic Engine and 3D Touch sensor. After years of use, that already tight capacity drops further. We fit a fresh cell and test it under load before handing it back.

Charging port repair

We replace the full Lightning dock flex cable, which includes the headphone jack, primary microphone, and antenna on the 6s. If your phone charges slowly, loses connection with the cable, or will not sync, this is the part that needs swapping.

Camera Repair

The 6s upgraded to a 12MP rear camera with 4K video recording and a 5MP front camera with Retina Flash. If your photos are blurry, the camera shows a black screen, or the flash fires when it should not, we replace the faulty module and test it before you leave.

Software troubleshooting

If your iPhone 6s is stuck in a boot loop, frozen on the Apple logo, or slowing down on iOS 15, we can diagnose and fix software problems while you wait. We can also help with iCloud lock issues and data recovery.

Network unlocking

If your iPhone 6s is locked to a specific carrier, we can unlock it so you can use any SIM card from any network. Useful if you have switched providers, bought a second hand phone that is still locked, or plan to use a local SIM while travelling abroad.

Is It Worth Repairing an iPhone 6s in 2026?

The iPhone 6s has aged better than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in one important way. It can still run iOS 15, which Apple continues to patch with security updates (the latest being iOS 15.8.8 in May 2026). That means it still gets security fixes, even if it no longer receives new features.

Most core apps still work on iOS 15. WhatsApp, YouTube, Spotify, Google Maps, and Safari all run fine. Some banking apps and newer social media apps have started requiring iOS 16 or newer, so check the apps you depend on before deciding.

For a phone that is used for calls, messaging, browsing, music, photos, and as a backup device, a battery or screen repair on a 6s is money well spent. The repair costs a fraction of a new phone, and the 6s has enough power for everyday tasks.

If your 6s has multiple faults and you are not sure whether the total repair cost makes sense, bring it in. We charge £10 for a full diagnostic and will give you an honest breakdown before you commit to anything.

How Long Does an iPhone 6s Repair Take?

Most iPhone 6s repairs are completed in around 30 minutes. Screen replacements and battery swaps are the quickest jobs we do on this model.

Charging port replacements take slightly longer because the Lightning dock flex cable is connected to the microphone and antenna. We need to transfer those connections to the new part and test everything afterwards.

3D Touch related issues can sometimes require extra testing after a screen replacement. We calibrate the pressure sensor to make sure light press (peek) and hard press (pop) gestures work properly across the full screen.

You are welcome to wait in store or drop your phone off and collect it later. We are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm at all 14 stores.

Took my phone here around 2 in the afternoon, the screen was smashed and it was completely unusable. Picked it up again at 2.45, fully repaired, guy couldn't be friendlier and showed me why my phone was so expensive to repair, (almost half the phone needed changing, thanks samsung for your well designed part). And although the price was expensive it was still very reasonable compared to elsewhere. Will definitely go to this shop again if i need my phone fixing again and will be recommending to everyone

Pretty good prices, was skeptic at first because I took my iPhone in to get new battery and with it not being apple labour or product it didn’t recognise at first but it does the job! 👌🏼

I had an unfortunate accident, I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. I immediately worried about the cost of a repair. I rang several phone shops who wanted £100 for a repair. I then found The Phone Village on Scunthorpe High Street the me £50. I took my phone in and the guys were great I was told it would take 30 mins. On my return the repair had been expertly done. They fitted a free screen protector and case ( yes free of charge). Absolutely fantastic service. I would recommend them to anyone in my situation.

Today I went into Phone village for the first time with a chap I support who is a technology enthusiast and collector. We were greeted by two kind workers and my chap explained he likes to collect old phones and technology which don't necessarily need to be working he just likes to collect and compare them with modern devices.
The workers listened closely and attentively and went and got a load of phones for him to look through. They were really impressed as my chap is vision impaired but he is able to work out phone types by touching and recognising features on the phones and was able to say accurately which ones he had been presented with.
He picked out the ones he wanted and asked how much they wanted for them but they kindly let him take them for free. They also said they will keep some in storage for if we visits in future as he said it was lovely to meet another phone collector.
The workers were kind and polite through out amazing customer service shown highly recommend them for a new phone or service. Thank you Phone village 😊❤️
