Screen replacement

Full display assembly replacement for the 5.5 inch 1080p screen, including the LCD, digitiser, front glass, and 3D Touch pressure sensor. We transfer the original solid state home button (paired to your logic board for Touch ID and haptic feedback) and reseal the IP67 water resistance adhesive. Every screen is tested for touch response, 3D Touch calibration, and colour accuracy.

Battery replacement

The iPhone 7 Plus has a 2900 mAh battery, which was a solid capacity when new but loses its edge after years of daily charging. If your phone dies before evening, shuts down in cold weather, or the battery health reading is below 80%, it is time for a swap. We fit a new cell, test it under load, and reseal the display adhesive.

Charging port repair

The Lightning dock flex cable on the 7 Plus includes the primary microphone, barometric vent, and antenna connections. If charging is unreliable, data sync fails, or callers cannot hear you, this is the part that needs replacing. We test every function on the new assembly before handing back.

Camera Repair

The 7 Plus has a dual 12MP rear camera: one wide angle lens (f/1.8) and one telephoto lens (f/2.8) for 2x optical zoom and Portrait Mode. We can replace either the wide module, the telephoto module, or both. The 7MP front camera with Retina Flash is also replaceable.

Software troubleshooting

Is It Worth Repairing an iPhone 7 Plus in 2026?

The iPhone 7 Plus is in the same position as the standard iPhone 7. It runs iOS 15.8.8, which Apple patched with security fixes in May 2026. Apple added the iPhone 7 Plus to its Vintage Products list in April 2026, which means Apple Stores no longer repair it. Independent shops like ours still do.

The difference is that the 7 Plus has a few advantages that make it worth keeping longer than the standard 7. The 5.5 inch Full HD screen is still comfortable for video and reading. The 3GB of RAM (compared to 2GB on the standard 7) means less app reloading when multitasking. The dual camera system still takes decent photos in good light, and Portrait Mode works well enough for casual use.

Core apps still function on iOS 15. WhatsApp, YouTube, Spotify, and Safari run fine. Some banking apps and developer tools like Slack have dropped iOS 15 support, so check your essential apps.

If the phone has multiple faults, we charge £10 for a full diagnostic and will tell you honestly whether the total repair cost is justified.

How Long Does an iPhone 7 Plus Repair Take?

Most iPhone 7 Plus repairs are completed in 30 to 45 minutes. The larger 5.5 inch display takes slightly longer to remove and reseat than the 4.7 inch iPhone 7 screen, and the IP67 adhesive seal needs replacing on every screen and battery job.

Battery swaps are the quickest repair. Screen replacements take a bit longer because of the home button transfer, 3D Touch calibration, and adhesive resealing.

Dual camera replacements are straightforward unless both modules need swapping, in which case allow an extra 15 to 20 minutes.

Board level repairs (Audio IC or baseband issues) take 1 to 3 hours depending on the fault.

You can wait in store or drop your phone off and collect it later. All 14 stores are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Took my phone here around 2 in the afternoon, the screen was smashed and it was completely unusable. Picked it up again at 2.45, fully repaired, guy couldn't be friendlier and showed me why my phone was so expensive to repair, (almost half the phone needed changing, thanks samsung for your well designed part). And although the price was expensive it was still very reasonable compared to elsewhere. Will definitely go to this shop again if i need my phone fixing again and will be recommending to everyone

I had an unfortunate accident, I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. I immediately worried about the cost of a repair. I rang several phone shops who wanted £100 for a repair. I then found The Phone Village on Scunthorpe High Street the me £50. I took my phone in and the guys were great I was told it would take 30 mins. On my return the repair had been expertly done. They fitted a free screen protector and case ( yes free of charge). Absolutely fantastic service. I would recommend them to anyone in my situation.

Today I went into Phone village for the first time with a chap I support who is a technology enthusiast and collector. We were greeted by two kind workers and my chap explained he likes to collect old phones and technology which don't necessarily need to be working he just likes to collect and compare them with modern devices. The workers listened closely and attentively and went and got a load of phones for him to look through. They were really impressed as my chap is vision impaired but he is able to work out phone types by touching and recognising features on the phones and was able to say accurately which ones he had been presented with. He picked out the ones he wanted and asked how much they wanted for them but they kindly let him take them for free. They also said they will keep some in storage for if we visits in future as he said it was lovely to meet another phone collector. The repair is the same: the audio chip is removed, jumper wires bridge the broken connection, and the chip is resoldered.
