Screen replacement

Full display assembly replacement including the LCD, digitiser, front glass, and 3D Touch pressure layer. The iPhone 7 uses a pressure sensitive solid state home button that relies on the Taptic Engine for feedback. We pair the home button to the new screen and test 3D Touch, True Tone colour accuracy, and touch response across the full 4.7 inch display.

Battery replacement

The iPhone 7 has a 1960 mAh battery, a step up from the 1715 mAh in the 6s but still modest by current standards. After years of charge cycles, most will struggle to last past midday. We fit a replacement cell, test it under load, and reseal the IP67 water resistance adhesive around the screen.

Charging port repair

The iPhone 7 dropped the headphone jack, so the Lightning port is your only wired connection. We replace the dock connector flex cable, which includes the primary microphone and barometric vent. Charging, data sync, and call audio are all tested after fitting.

Camera Repair

The iPhone 7 was the first standard sized iPhone with optical image stabilisation (previously only on Plus models). The 12MP f/1.8 rear camera with OIS and the 7MP front camera are both replaceable. We test autofocus, stabilisation, and 4K video recording before completing the repair.

Software troubleshooting

Is It Worth Repairing an iPhone 7 in 2026?

 

The iPhone 7 sits on the edge. It runs iOS 15.8.8, which Apple patched as recently as May 2026 with security fixes. Core apps like WhatsApp, YouTube, and Spotify still work. But app developers are moving on. Slack, Dropbox, and Microsoft Authenticator dropped iOS 15 support in early 2026, and more will follow.

Apple has placed the iPhone 7 on its Vintage Products list as of April 2026. That means Apple Stores will no longer repair it, but independent shops like ours still do.

For a phone used for calls, messages, browsing, music, and as a backup device, a screen or battery replacement still makes sense. The A10 Fusion chip handles everyday tasks without lag. The repair cost is a fraction of buying a replacement.

How Long Does an iPhone 7 Repair Take?

 

Most iPhone 7 repairs are completed in around 30 minutes. Screen replacements and battery swaps are the quickest.

Because the iPhone 7 has IP67 water resistance, every screen and battery repair includes removing and reapplying the adhesive seal around the display edge. This adds a few minutes compared to older models that had no water resistance, but it means your phone leaves with its seal intact.

Audio IC repairs are the exception. This is board level work that requires removing the audio chip, running jumper wires to repair broken traces, and resoldering the chip. Allow 1 to 3 hours depending on the severity.

You can wait in store or drop your phone off and collect it later. All 14 stores are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Took my phone here around 2 in the afternoon, the screen was smashed and it was completely unusable. Picked it up again at 2.45, fully repaired, guy couldn't be friendlier and showed me why my phone was so expensive to repair, (almost half the phone needed changing, thanks samsung for your well designed part). And although the price was expensive it was still very reasonable compared to elsewhere. Will definitely go to this shop again if i need my phone fixing again and will be recommending to everyone

Pretty good prices, was skeptic at first because I took my iPhone in to get new battery and with it not being apple labour or product it didn’t recognise at first but it does the job! 👌🏼

I had an unfortunate accident, I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. I immediately worried about the cost of a repair. I rang several phone shops who wanted £100 for a repair. I then found The Phone Village on Scunthorpe High Street the me £50. I took my phone in and the guys were great I was told it would take 30 mins. On my return the repair had been expertly done. They fitted a free screen protector and case ( yes free of charge). Absolutely fantastic service. I would recommend them to anyone in my situation.

Today I went into Phone village for the first time with a chap I support who is a technology enthusiast and collector. We were greeted by two kind workers and my chap explained he likes to collect old phones and technology which don't necessarily need to be working he just likes to collect and compare them with modern devices. The workers listened closely and attentively and went and got a load of phones for him to look through. They were really impressed as my chap is vision impaired but he is able to work out phone types by touching and recognising features on the phones and was able to say accurately which ones he had been presented with. He picked out the ones he wanted and asked how much they wanted for them but they kindly let him take them for free. They also said they will keep some in storage for if we visits in future as he said it was lovely to meet another phone collector. The workers were kind and polite through out amazing customer service shown highly recommend them for a new phone or service. Thank you Phone village 😊❤️

Yes, as long as the original home button is transferred to the new screen. The iPhone 7 home button is paired to the logic board at the factory. A replacement button will not support Touch ID or the haptic click feedback. We always transfer the original button.
For everyday use like calls, messaging, browsing, and music, yes. It runs iOS 15 with security patches. But app support is narrowing. Slack, Dropbox, and some banking apps have already dropped iOS 15. If the apps you depend on still work, a repair is far cheaper than a replacement.
Screen replacements come with up to a lifetime warranty on genuine screens, 12 months on OLED, and 3 months on LCD. Battery and small parts carry a 12 month warranty. Claims must be made at the same store where the repair was done.
