iPhone XS Max Repairs We Offer

Screen replacement

We replace the full OLED screen with a new one. The 6.5 inch display is the largest on any iPhone of its generation, so we take extra care fitting it and checking for even touch response across the whole screen. Face ID keeps working after the swap. We reseal the water resistance and test everything before giving it back.

Battery replacement

We take out the old battery and fit a new one. We make sure it charges properly, holds power, and that wireless charging still works. The screen is resealed to keep the water resistance intact. If your XS Max is not lasting through the day like it used to, this brings it back.

Face ID Repair

If Face ID has stopped working or only works sometimes, we find out which part of the front camera has failed and fix it. We keep your original parts wherever possible so Face ID stays fully functional. We test it before giving it back.

Camera Repair

We replace the rear camera and test that autofocus, zoom, Portrait Mode, and video recording all work. The front camera is also replaceable. If only one of the two rear lenses has failed, we can replace just that one without touching the other.

Back Glass Repair

We remove the cracked back glass, check the wireless charging coil underneath, and fit new glass. The stainless steel frame is checked for any damage. We test wireless charging after fitting. The XS Max has a larger back panel than the XS, so the repair takes a bit more time.

Charging Port Repair

We replace the charging port, which also fixes microphone and vibration issues since they share the same part. We test charging, data transfer, and call audio before handing it back.

Is It Worth Repairing an iPhone XS Max in 2026?

Yes. The XS Max runs iOS 18, which Apple is still updating with security patches and new features. Almost every app in the App Store works on it.

The big 6.5 inch screen still feels great for video, reading, and browsing. If you bought the XS Max for the screen size, nothing has changed there. The phone is still fast for everyday tasks like social media, banking, streaming, and photography.

The XS Max shares the same processor and software support as the smaller XS. The only real differences are the screen size and battery. So if the XS is worth repairing (it is), the XS Max is too.

Battery swaps are the quickest. Screen replacements take around 30 to 40 minutes. The larger screen takes a bit more time to fit and test than the smaller XS screen, but it is still a same day job.

Face ID repairs take 30 to 60 minutes depending on what has gone wrong.

Back glass repairs take 45 minutes to an hour. The back panel on the XS Max is larger than on the XS, so removing the old glass and fitting new glass takes a bit longer.

You can wait in store or leave your phone with us and pick it up later. All 14 stores are open Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Took my phone here around 2 in the afternoon, the screen was smashed and it was completely unusable. Picked it up again at 2.45, fully repaired, guy couldn't be friendlier and showed me why my phone was so expensive to repair, (almost half the phone needed changing, thanks samsung for your well designed part). And although the price was expensive it was still very reasonable compared to elsewhere. Will definitely go to this shop again if i need my phone fixing again and will be recommending to everyone

I had an unfortunate accident, I dropped my iPhone and cracked the screen. I immediately worried about the cost of a repair. I rang several phone shops who wanted £100 for a repair. I then found The Phone Village on Scunthorpe High Street the me £50. I took my phone in and the guys were great I was told it would take 30 mins. On my return the repair had been expertly done. They fitted a free screen protector and case ( yes free of charge). Absolutely fantastic service. I would recommend them to anyone in my situation.

Today I went into Phone village for the first time with a chap I support who is a technology enthusiast and collector. We were greeted by two kind workers and my chap explained he likes to collect old phones and technology which don't necessarily need to be working he just likes to collect and compare them with modern devices. The workers listened closely and attentively and went and got a load of phones for him to look through. They were really impressed as my chap is vision impaired but he is able to work out phone types by touching and recognising features on the phones and was able to say accurately which ones he had been presented with. He picked out the ones he wanted and asked how much they wanted for them but they kindly let him take them for free. They also said they will keep some in storage for if we visits in future as he said it was lovely to meet another phone collector. The workers were kind and polite through out amazing customer service shown highly recommend them for a new phone or service. Thank you Phone village 😊❤️
